Why I built Word Not World
Like many people, I grew up with childhood trauma and generational strongholds that followed me into adulthood. When I began my walk with Christ, I found it hard to fully commit. I read the devotionals, I read my Bible, I went to church, and I still felt alone. The sense of community I needed was missing, and that made it hard to stay on the journey. I was letting the world and its distractions grow louder than the Word.
Most faith apps are genuinely beautiful, but they were built to walk this journey alone. There was no room to bring my family and friends along with me.
Eventually, my husband and I found our footing by leaning on each other and a very small handful of committed Christian friends. That is when I knew I had to build the app I wish I’d had when I started. Every feature in Word Not World is something I needed to stay all in, and could not find anywhere else.
